Polkadot Head Ambassador Application: DJ Hà Trang & SubWallet

GM everyone! I’m DJ Hà Trang, Research Lead at SubWallet. This is my Polkadot Head Ambassador application. The full proposal can be found here.

Collective efforts by SubWallet team

All responsibilities during my Head Ambassador tenure will be conducted by the whole SubWallet team, not only me. I therefore act as a representative and core contributor to these collective efforts.

SubWallet entered the Polkadot ecosystem in November 2021, and has since become a proactive agent with major contributions to the ecosystem. Some highlights for the past 2.5 years:

Polkadot Head Ambassador of APAC

As the Polkadot Head Ambassador of APAC, we plan to focus on spreading the Polkadot brand in APAC and onboarding enterprises to the Polkadot ecosystem.

Branding: Spread Polkadot brand in the region

  • Delegate personnel to participate in Web3 events around Asia and other continents to introduce Polkadot
  • Collaborate with partners and friends to promote the Polkadot brand to organizations
  • Team up with leading Web2 organizations such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Alibaba Cloud to organize activities for Web3 developers and onboard them to Polkadot

Business Development

Onboard SEA enterprises:

  • Targeted global agency: Publicis Groupe, WPP, Havas Group, Dentsu
  • Targeted enterprise clients: Pepsi, Redbull/Warrior, VBL Group (Heineken/Tiger), Budweiser
  • Targeted top local agencies: Omega Group, Adtima (VNG Group), Adsota (Appota Group),...

Onboard top-tier SEA Web2 game publisher:

We will work with Web2 game publishing companies to integrate mass-adopted games to Polkadot.

  • Amanotes: Top 1 music game app on Appstore global
  • VNG: Top 1 game publisher in Vietnam and the first unicorn startup in Vietnam. VNG is also the PubG license owner in Vietnam.
  • And more

Ecosystem Collaboration

  • Connect and develop an extensive Ambassador network: We plan to connect and develop an extensive Ambassador network in the APAC area with the mission of expanding the Polkadot brand. At the same time, we will collaborate closely with other Head Ambassadors to support each other and brainstorm common activities and initiatives.
  • Participate in and initiate in-depth discussions: We plan to coordinate support with other project teams to find solutions to improve current ecosystem problems, such as user experience, marketing strategy, product development strategy and so on.

Compensation

The compensation for Head Ambassador will not be used to pay salary for the SubWallet team. Instead, it will cover expenses related to Head Ambassador responsibilities such as travel costs and BD expenses.

SubWallet has also been actively building community through various ways especially in APAC region.

Having met DJ, Ryan and the team at many conferences and events incl. PBA in Hong Kong, PBA in Singapore, GMVN in Ho Chi Minh and Decoded Brussels, I have seen first hand the team's professionalism and drive for the Polkadot ecosystem.

Vietnam and South East Asia as a whole are important growth markets for Polkadot. Also I believe the team will cooperate well with the OpenGuild team on its initiatives.
