Hello Polkadot community!

I would like to present my application to be a Head Ambassador in the Polkadot ecosystem.


I am Ezio Rojas, I currently serve as curator of the Spanish Bounty, AMI Bounty Program and the Business Development Polkadot in Spain & Andorra Bounty.

I am in the Polkadot ecosystem since 2021. I worked at Parity Technologies from December 2021 to January 2024, where I served as Community and Social Media Manager for Latin America and Spain, from where I was leading the Spanish-speaking community within the Polkadot ecosystem.


In these years I have been involved in different activities within the Polkadot ecosystem, including participating as a speaker at major global conferences such as Labitconf 2022 edition in the talk “How to choose the right Blockchain for my company or project?” also participating in talks at CriptoLatinFest 2023 edition and a side event of Bitcoin Miami 2022 edition.

I have also been involved in major Polkadot events, such as Polkadot Decoded, where I participated as a speaker in 2022 , as well as other community events in Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico and Spain, from where the Hispanic Polkadot community has grown arduously in recent years.

Background in crypto ecosystem

I started as a user in the crypto ecosystem in 2017. In 2019 I started working with Cointelegraph, where I reached by 2021 the position of Editor in Chief of the Spanish version.
Having a background in the media industry has helped me to get space for Polkadot in different cryptocurrency media in Spanish. Here is a list of the publications where I have managed to get Polkadot's presence:

Also, in 2022 I co-founded the Caracas Blockchain Week, the largest Web3 conference in Venezuela and one of the largest in Latin America, with more than 3000 attendees in 5 days. In 2023 we had the second edition, reaching 3200 attendees and the first crypto-hackathon in Venezuela.

In both editions, given my role as co-founder, Polkadot appeared as a sponsor of the event, without representing an expense for the ecosystem. Its appearance was totally free.

Also, delving into my background within the crypto ecosystem, I should mention that in the year 2022 I was listed as one of the personalities of the cryptocurrency ecosystem in Latin America that year, an award given by the BeInCrypto team.

Goals to develop

Beyond everything I have already executed and accomplished in the ecosystem, I have a clear vision of the future for the functions I hope to perform as Head Ambassador.

My pillars as Head Ambassador will be 3:

1. Expansion of Polkadot's Reach:

• Focus on key audiences: Prioritize the dissemination of Polkadot in scenarios aimed at entrepreneurs, Venture Capital firms and other relevant players in this market within the Spanish-speaking ecosystem.
• Strategic communication: Implement effective communication strategies to amplify knowledge about Polkadot, highlighting its competitive advantages and disruptive potential.

2. Drive Adoption:

• Promotion of parachains and appchains: Encourage the adoption of Polkadot's parachains, appchains and end products among the Spanish-speaking public, with the objective of increasing the active user base on the network.
• Educational campaigns: Develop and implement face-to-face educational campaigns aimed at end users, highlighting the benefits and practical use cases of Polkadot-based solutions.

3. Development Promotion:

• Creation of training spaces: Facilitate the creation of training spaces for Spanish-speaking developers interested in building on Polkadot and its parachains.
• Community building: Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing among developers, fostering the growth of a vibrant community interested in building on Polkadot.

In order to materialize my vision in the established pillars, I will carry out the following actions:

Visibility and Outreach:

• Presence in relevant events: Ensure Polkadot's participation in major conferences and Web3 events within the Spanish-speaking ecosystem. Facilitate the presence of parachains, appchains and final products developed in the network.
• Events for end users: Promote the realization of meetings where Polkadot, its parachains, appchains and end products are presented.
• Hackathons and training: Encourage the participation of Polkadot in hackathons in the region and organize workshops and training spaces for developers interested in the technology.
  Marketing and Adoption:
• Marketing campaigns: Collaboration for the development of marketing campaigns focused on end users within the region, disseminating information about parachains, appchains and end products of the network.
• Community Promotion: Revitalize the local Spanish-speaking community, integrating new ambassadors and enhancing the work of current ambassadors.
  Communication and Diffusion:
• Media publications: Manage the publication of press releases related to the Polkadot ecosystem and its parachains in the region's media, both specialized and general interest.
