(Retroactive) for the Consolidation of the Polkadot Américas Community and its Contributions
This proposal seeks retroactive funding for the activities carried out by the Polkadot Américas community during the period from April to July 2025, focused on education, community participation, and the promotion of the Polkadot ecosystem in Latin America.
Over these three months, we have consolidated an active and self-sustaining DAO. In addition, our team has produced more than 58 hours of live content through weekly programs such as Monday Night DOT, OpenMic, De DOT a DOT, Dotvibez, and Polkamania, as well as special events that have brought together users, developers, node operators, and governance participants from across the region.
The Polkadot Américas community has grown organically, reaching 98 active members in its Telegram group, more than 220 followers on X/Twitter, and 71 on Instagram. Furthermore, we managed 11 scholarships for the Polkadot Blockchain Academy – PBA-X, benefiting 11 members of the ecosystem.

I witnessed some of the initial growth of Polkadot Americas and the initiative seemed to have a lot of potential. I was even invited to participate in several of their live streams at one point. Some of the team members were very active and dedicated. However, as of now this activity seems to have slowed down and the streaming seems to have stopped, as well as activity on the telegram group.
My current questions are:
Hello Florentina, great to hear from you! And of course, you witnessed the growth of the community. For the moment, we have paused the streams since planning and executing the programs requires effort, time, and funding. However, the Telegram group remains active, with its natural highs and lows in participation.
