TL;DR Continuation Operations Spain & Andorra BD Team - 12 months

We are IBERLABS, formerly known as the Business Development team for Spain & Andorra. Over the past year, we've worked to expand Polkadot’s presence across the region by building partnerships with institutions, enterprises, and public entities.

We’ve taken note of all the feedback from our last proposal so this version comes more focused and better aligned with the community’s expectations, responding to every request made.

This is not a new initiative. It’s a continuation of the work already in progress. We’re fully active on the ground, advancing deals, helping partners integrate, and making Polkadot part of real business in these regions.

Hi there.
Thank you for your proposal. I have a couple of questions:

  1. Deepen collaboration with existing partners such as Onyze, KPMG, Telefónica, Governments and academic institutions.
  • Can you please tell me more about existing partners and what the deal flow is with them right now?
  1. Real-World Asset Tokenization (tokenized debt, equity, real estate)
  • Tokenising debt and equity is not easy. Is there anyone you have in mind? Which country or jurisdiction that might to be? Spain?
  • Tokenising real estate is even harder with the lack of liquidity, fragmentation, and legal work.
  1. Xhype - Integrated direct registration with SubWallet and exclusive USDx on-ramp for Polkadot AssetHub.
  • What is the impact on DOT ecosystem?

Business Development
Responsible for identifying leads, managing partnerships, and developing strategies for ecosystem growth.
This salary also covers travel costs for attending conferences, workshops, and in-person meetings around Spain or Andorra

Do you want to focus only on Spain or Andorra or you would like to find BD partners outside of that eco?

I guess I saw you at Crypto Expo in Bucharest at the Polkadot booth with TheWhiteRabbit and the WUD team.

Hey, based on your current proposal, our internal vote result is NAY, as we were unable to get clear answers to several important points:

  1. When was the last grant received, and what were the deliverables? Have all of them been completed?Among the listed outcomes, while the “Xhype” project is noted to have integrated with Polkadot AssetHub and SubWallet, it’s unclear what direct impact this integration has had on DOT network activity, address growth, or actual asset movement.

  2. What are the measurable goals for this round? While key metrics are listed (e.g., 2 government or enterprise integrations, 4 project integrations, etc.), it would help to further clarify what qualifies as a “successful” outcome. For example: does “integration” mean just a PoC, or does it require full deployment? Should it include user growth or fund inflow? It would also be helpful to have historical context — how many leads were converted last year? Are this year’s targets reasonably ambitious?

  3. Regarding the goal of attracting at least 10 new developers — does this refer to 10 individual developers, or 10 development teams?

  4. In the user growth section, it mentions “significantly increasing the number of active Polkadot users through integrations, dApps, or service launches.” Could you clarify what is considered “significant”? What’s the expected magnitude?

  5. Similarly, in terms of new DOT holders — how many new holders are you aiming to onboard?

  6. Lastly, would you be open to milestone-based funding? For example, receiving the second half of the funding only upon successful delivery of the key results.

We hope the above questions can be addressed — we’ll continue to follow this proposal closely!
