The Modern Market Show Headline Sponsorship - 6 Months
Beneficiary:GM - I am BCheque, the founder of The Modern Market Show.
This is a proposal for a 6 month sponsorship of (i) The Snapshot + (ii) Modern Market Show 3x per week for 6 months, through which Polkadot will receive routine exposure to a prominent web3 audience of sophisticated leaders and investors via our written publication, live social audio and video distribution (300-400 live on X and YouTube / 40k combined following on X).
Ask: $120,000 USDC for 6 months ($20k per month) with 5% ($6k) finders fee to Phunky, who has generously committed to donate half ($3k) to TeddyDAO - a social good NFT project on Polkadot.
This proposal was facilitated by our long-time listener and friend, Phunky, who has advocated for us and Polkadot on many separate occasions - and who recommended us to apply.

Hey, everyone!
I would like to provide some additional information about Modern Market and invite you to listen in over the next few weeks while we collectively mull this proposal over. The show is live each weekday morning from 11 AM to 12 PM UTC (7 AM EDT; 12 PM BST; 1 PM CET) and runs the gamut when it comes to what's happening in Web3 to how macroeconomic movements impact our industry.
The reason why I am keen for Polkadot to sponsor this show and its co-hosts is two-fold: 1) the audience is largely ETH and SOL based, so most of the listeners otherwise have no exposure to Polkadot. Our brand sponsoring the show means we will get out of our insular bubble and start to get mindshare outside of our corner of Web3; 2) as a regular panelist/contributor, I have been amazed at how this show continues to broaden its base and grow its audience. I am confident that if this were to pass it would be perfect timing as we would be the primary sponsor of the show during what potentially may be the biggest, most manic phase of the bull market, from October of this year until March of 2025.
Moreover, as I stated to Evan on X earlier today, rather than have a marketing bounty that makes blind decisions and pays all sorts of scammers (must we really see stupid bearish tweets from Martini Guy about selling all of his DOT?), it would be better for us to form partnerships with high quality content creators. By introducing people like BCheque and Legendary to our ecosystem, we teach them about what makes our tech stack different while also gaining new ecosystem agents. We have already discussed several ideas for how to make Polkadot a persistent presence on the show, such as including the account in the audience each day to bolster the awareness of our ecosystem.
I realize that I am incredibly biased because, first and foremost, I consider both of the hosts my friends at this point (been listening for almost a full year now), and I will earn a small finder's fee for bringing them to our ecosystem. Some will undoubtedly take umbrage with the fact that I have voted AYE with my personal DOT, but I have recused in both the Lucky Friday and ChaosDAO servers (for the sake of transparency, I will follow up with screen shots of the bot logging my vote). In addition, I am giving half of it away to charity via Teddy DAO, so in reality I will get 2.5%, which is far lower than what many others have charged to bring high quality deals to our community.
